Vitel Communications, a division of JNet Communications, LLC, is looking for someone to oversee the maintenance & well being of our growing fleet of trucks. Opportunities are available at the following locations – Union & Pennington, NJ; San Jose & Santa Barbara, CA; Dallas, TX: Detroit, MI; & Atlanta, GA.
Responsibilities:
- Directs & coordinates fleet operations & scheduling to ensure availability of vehicles and equipment for 50 – 100 trucks
- Controls costs by overseeing activities, vendors & supplies
- Maintains agent/vendor agreements
- Adheres to preventative maintenance strategies & policies
- Obtains, quantifies & reports condition of fleet usage and needs according to accepted practices, standards & methods
- Ensures adherence to procedural ∓ policy requirements of various government agencies
- Conducts Route Audits/Analyses
- Interfaces with customers as required
- Participates in the development and implementation of division-wide safety programs
- Provides safety training to employees
- Monitors & maintains inventory of tools, equipment, phones & PCs
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements:
- 3+ years fleet management experience
- Clean driving record
- Ability to lift & carry up to 75 lbs.
- Excellent verbal & written communications skills
- Customer relations skills
Must be able to pass drug screening & criminal background check
