Description:
Openings in Detroit, MI; San Jose, CA; Union, NJ; Pennington, NJ; Baltimore, MD; & Atlanta, GA.
We need trainers to conduct experienced and introductory level training in Video, High Speed Data (HSD) and Digital Phone (DP) & Cable TV installation and troubleshooting/repair through lecture & hands-on methods. Incumbent will also deliver and monitor certification safety training (pole climbing, ladder usage, vehicle safety, hand tool safety, etc.). In addition, the trainer will be expected to monitor productivity and quality as well as make recommendations on how to maximize performance. The trainer will also provide refresher training to experienced Cable Technicians. All technical training is administered by major cable suppliers. 20% travel is required however, as Vitel continues to grow, travel will be reduced to 10%.
This is full-time, regular employment. We offer a competitive salary & benefits. Travel expenses will be reimbursed.

Requirements:
- BA degree or equivalent field experience
- Must have ability to demonstrate and teach customer service skills, sales techniques, retention skills, technical & troubleshooting skills
- Training delivery certification desirable
- Must be a self-starter and be able to work with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrated pole climbing, installation and service skills for Video, HSD and Digital Phone.
- Working knowledge of advanced cable, HSD, including DOCSIS standards and home networking, and Digital Phone, as it relates to installation and troubleshooting
- Must possess strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
- Must be able to relate with a diverse, multi-cultural population
- Requires valid driver’s license and good driving record.
- Must pass drug screen & background check
